FACT (Foundation for Art and Creative Technology) is the UK’s leading media arts centre, based in Liverpool. Offering a unique programme of exhibitions, film and participant-led art projects, the organisation uses the power of creative technology to enrich lives.

The award-winning FACT building is home to three galleries (showing four exhibitions per year), a beautiful café operated by LEAF, a cosy bar, and four state of the art film screens programmed by our cinema partners Picturehouse and showing the best in independent and mainstream film.

Showcasing ground-breaking new media art from across the world, FACT’s international artistic programme has presented over 350 new media and digital artworks from artists including Pipilotti Rist, Nam June Paik, Bill Viola, Apichatpong Weerasethakul and Isaac Julien. FACT is committed to expanding and developing artistic practice at all stages, and to commissioning exceptional new works across a range of platforms and multimedia.

Each year, the dynamic Community, Learning, Health and Young People’s programmes offer exciting opportunities for more than 3000 individuals from all backgrounds and ages to discover and be inspired by creative technology, art and film. This strand is at the core of FACT’s ethos and allows the artistic programme to be delivered not only through gallery shows and Related Events but also in long-standing workshops and activities within the (immediate as well as international) community.

As a centre for Research & Innovation, FACT work with partners across the creative industries, health, higher education and arts sectors to develop multi-disciplinary projects exploring the relationship between technology and culture.
